Broken Hill is out in the far west and an oasis in the semi-avid wilderness. It's a mining town and a major centre for Australian art and artists. There are numerous wall murals, sculptures and several art galleries. Even if it's in NSW, Broken Hill is more part of South Australia . It's because they have the same time, the same telephone area code and it's much more close to Adelaide than Sydney .
